Do you think that hip hop needs more sub-genres?
I know there's west coast, east coast, south and underground hip hop vs. dominant but I feel like hip hop has to be divided into sub-genres. Rock music is about 100 different sub-genres. No death metal should never be confused with others, if I find as unfair as a song like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0mcEw7MAmQ&feature=related is classified in the same genus as the next pop single (nothing against Wayne Lil Wayne, but never could make a song like that).
I think it would be too much overlap. I refer to a particular artist can take at once ... 1. Underground 2. East Coast 3. Golden Age 4. Indie 5. Aware that I can only imagine how disorganized my file "Hiphop Music 'would be.
